Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in Adult Education
PROJECT NUMBER 2024-1-IS01-KA122-ADU-000231464
This Erasmus+ project was implemented by “PERSONA” (Educational Association Polish Mothertongue for polish Kids and Teens “Persona”), an organisation actively supporting lifelong learning and adult education within the Polish diaspora in Iceland.
The project focused on strengthening educators’ competences in digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), responding to the growing need for innovation in education across Europe.
What We Did
As part of the project, our team participated in an international training course:
“Digitalisation of Education – Using Modern Digital Technologies and AI Tools to Improve Learning”, organised by Novareckon in Novara, Italy.
During the training, participants:
- explored key AI concepts (including ANI, AGI, ASI),
- worked with modern tools such as ChatGPT and generative AI,
- learned how to apply AI in teaching and content creation,
- discussed ethical aspects and responsible use of technology,
- discussed how it can affect the education.
We also explored advanced models such as transformers, LSTM, and GANs, and analysed real-life applications of AI in education, healthcare, logistics, and industry.

Impact on Our Organisation
This project became a starting point for our digital transformation.
As a result, we:
✔ integrated AI tools into teaching and internal processes
✔ developed new digital learning materials,
✔ introduced internal workshops and peer learning,
✔ improved communication and recruitment processes,
✔ launched a new website reflecting our modern educational profile.
Sharing Knowledge – From Italy to Iceland
A key part of the project was dissemination and knowledge sharing.
We developed a presentation:
“Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in Adult Education”
based directly on our training experience
The results were presented in Reykjavik by Anna Maria Tabaczyńska during an event organised by PERSONA under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

The event gathered educators from across Iceland and included:
- practical demonstrations of AI tools,
- real classroom applications,
- guidance on Erasmus+ opportunities.
This meeting sparked valuable discussions about the future of education and digital innovation.
Our Approach

We place strong emphasis on:
- inclusion – working with diverse learners and educators,
- practical application – focusing on tools that can be used immediately,
- international cooperation – building partnerships across Europe,
- knowledge sharing – multiplying impact within our communit.
What We Achieved
The project brought strong and measurable results:
Each featured practice includes:
4.9/5 average training evaluation
100% of participants reported clear benefits
Increased confidence in using AI and digital tools
Stronger intercultural and communication competences
Participants developed practical skills that are now actively used in:
- adult education,
- non-formal learning environments,
- organisational development.
